Despite the violence, the atmosphere of terror, daily life goes on.
Here a man makes his living by selling charcoal, made from burning
trees. Under Aristide, there were efforts underway to plant trees to
begin to reforest Haiti. Now, people can ill afford to be concerned
with tomorrow. Just making it through today as best one can,
putting one foot in front of the other...
